RCCS Chapel Message – The Forgotten Prayer

This morning in chapel I preached a message concerning the Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6.  My goal was to encourage my students to remember that prayer is not merely a ritualistic formula that is employed to get the “genie god upstairs” to grant us our three wishes.  Instead, we ought to remember to whom we are praying, with whom we are praying, just who is the one praying and in whose name we actually are praying.  The message was preceded by a short skit.

By the way, yes, I included the traditional conclusion despite the supposed manuscript evidence suggesting it may not belong there.  Truth be told, I haven’t delved too much into that issue to know where I stand.  But for now, I’ll include it.  But that has little to do with the actual message I preached.  Look for yourselves down here below:
