Kevin, Thanks for mentioning my website. The site offers a book-length essay at no cost entitled JESUS OF NAZARETH, ILLEGAL-TAX PROTESTER. Some other points contained therein are these: Jesus persuaded at least two, (Levi and Zaccheaus) and probably more, tax collectors to quit their posts and follow him--at immeasurable cost to Rome in terms of missed tax collections. He equated collecting taxes with prostitution and other forms of sinfulness. He said that the sons of God are exempt from taxes. Some of the principles he advocated for righteous living preclude collecting taxes (viz., turn the other cheek, do unto others..., etc.). He pointedly did not dispute the devil's claim that the glory and authority of all earthly kingdom's is given to whomever the devil pleases (Lk 2) Sincerely, Ned Netterville.

What was Jesus charged with?

They began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king." - Luke 23:2

Depending on which Bible you read, there were two or three charges against Jesus [there were only two charges if we consider that he was perverting-by-forbidding].

Charge 2: "forbidding paying taxes to Caesar"
Forbid: to command [someone] not to; Source: OneLook Dictionary

Charge 3: "saying that he himself is Christ, a king."

One of the charges indicates Jesus was a tax protester, and if true, he was 'forbidding' others to pay taxes. False charges or not, these were the charges made against Jesus. 'It is written.'

One thing Pastor Baldwin missed is the freedom congregations will receive by dismantling the IRS.

Most congregations are limited in speech by the dreadful IRS. Remove the IRS and pastors will be able to truly lead their flock.

In my opinion, 503/c congregations are hypocrites for submitting to the IRS as an authority of what they can preach an teach.

[...] Politcal, Computing, and Clarion News | Global Toad News wrote an interesting post today onHere’s a quick excerpt Some have wondered why I have yet to post Dr. Chuck Baldwin’s latest column. The reason is simple, he and I disagree at the moment. Baldwin’s latest article asks fellow pastors to consider the candidacy of Dr. Ron Paul. To be honest, I am not so keen on Dr. Paul as I once was. I’ll share my thoughts about that a little later [...]
